about

The Ojo gallery opened in the summer of 2023. The gallery features my work, as well as current resident artists Bina (Bina Ceramics) and Nicole (Unearthed Artworks). We are situated just outside of the historic Ojo Caliente mineral springs in a 100+ year-old adobe mercantile building adjacent to the Chapel of Santa Cruz de Ojo Caliente. The spacious gallery features an old tin ceiling and hardwood floors, maintaining the original character of the building. During your visit, you will also be able to see the resident artists’ working studio. We also have a classroom equipped with wheels and kilns that can accommodate couples and groups with the opportunity to immerse themselves in the ceramic process. Bina is a potter currently based in northern New Mexico, where she is apprenticing with Logan Wannamaker to deepen her understanding of atmospheric firing and local materials. With a background in intercultural communication, movement studies, and anthropology, her approach to clay is shaped by a playful curiosity about people, place, and objects. Guided by intuition, physical engagement, and a respect for process, Bina is in pursuit of a dynamic collaboration with the elements.
