¤ INTRODUCTION TO WHEEL THROWING & HAND BUILDING
7 weeks, Wednesday 6-8:30 : $225 : Includes unlimited studio access! please call to ensure enrollment.
This introductory class is for those with little prior experience or who have worked in clay and would like a fresh start. In this intensive class you will learn how to throw on the wheel, and make vessels using hand-building, pinching and coiling techniques. You will be creating a body of work to glaze and fire in a high fire reduction kiln using 12 of our shop glazes. Great for individuals new to clay or with a little prior experience or those of you who would like to make some holiday gifts. (Clay and firing fees (.03) per cubic inch not included)

¤ Continuing Wheel Throwing & Hand building
7 weeks : Tuesdays 10-12:30 : $225 : Includes unlimited studio access! please call to ensure enrollment.
This a class for people who have prior experience in clay or who have taken the Introductory class and wish to continue. In this class we will experiment with a variety of forms on and off the wheel. We will learn to use slips and explore surface decoration further. Participants will learn to alter vessels and Raku as well as explore specific ideas. A great class for those wishing to stay in the habit of coming to the studio with the benefit of being able to ask technical questions weekly. Almost he same price as studio membership! (Clay and firing fees (.03) per cubic inch not included)

¤ Raku & Low Fire Techniques
3 weeks meeting twice weekly for 2.5 hours- specific days or evenings to be determined based upon interest : $225 : Class will run with minimum of 4 people : Those interested please call to make this class happen!
This class is for people with prior experience in clay that want to learn more about raku & micaceuos pottery. This is great class for people who would like to fire their work at home or are interested in traditional Northern New Mexico pottery. We will be digging our own micaceous clay and trying to fire once a week in a pit or in the raku kiln. A fun and entertaining class filled with immediate results!
